Just in time for Earth Day, Neighborhood Council Valley Village Board Members and friends lined the grounds of Valley Village Park last week with 15 new trees as the annual celebration of our environment neared.

Through a multi-faceted collaboration of the Neighborhood Council, the Department of Recreation and Parks, Tree People, and the office of Councilmember Paul Krekorian, we were able to plant a string of new trees and clean up the park. Volunteers of all ages put on gardening gloves and grabbed a shovel to plant the new trees and pick up trash surrounding area. 

Earth Day is an annual event celebrated globally on April 22.
