Using homes for lodging and vacation rentals has become a big issue and big business opportunity in Valley Village. Last year the City of Los Angeles approved guidelines to help structure using private homes for temporary rental, often done through online companies like Airbnb. The new guidelines became effective on July 1 2019, and enforcement by the city will begin in two weeks on November 1.
Whether you are renting your home, or have a concern about homes being rented in your neighborhood, this meeting will help answer questions and provide information about homesharing. The meeting is hosted by the Department of City Planning, the Office of Councilman Paul Krekorian and NCVV, and will cover topics that include registering, eligibility and enforcement for home-sharing in the City of Los Angeles. The meeting is Wednesday October 23, 6pm to 8pm, at North Hollywood Recreation Center, 11430 Chandler Boulevard. Street parking is available around the Center.
