In most home fires you have about 2 minutes to safely escape once you hear the fire alarm. As we enter another fire season, it is a good time to check in with your family and set up or re-visit your home fire escape plan.
Our FIRST in person event of the 'coming out of COVID era' was a great success. We filled about 80% of the shredding truck, gave out over 100 goodie bags, sent 50 trees to new homes, connected lots of people with our City Council office and collected much needed food and pet supplies for the North Hollywood Food Pantry.
The LA Budget Advocates held a Town Hall for the City Controller candidates on April 10. If you missed it, you can watch it at your convenience to hear directly from the candidates and decide who to vote for.
The Ventura Blvd. Mainline Improvement Project will install nearly 2 miles of 6-inch and 8-inch mainline pipe along a section of Ventura Blvd. starting around May 2.
NCVV’s Board of Directors and Student Board approved the first in person event to be held since the beginning of the COVID pandemic, Earth Day 2022. The event is scheduled for April 23, 10am – 1pm, on the campus of Colfax School.

Officer Benavidez shared statistics that demonstrated recent increases in accidents and traffic fatalities. Officer Benavidez asked anyone who knows an area of speeding or disregarding traffic signs and signals email the location to his office, vtdset@lapd.online, and they will survey the location.
Through the redistricting process new districts are in place. NCVV remains with City Council District Paul Krekorian but we are now part of County Supervisor Kathryn Barger's District and all of NCVV is now in Congressman Cardenas District.
