The City of Los Angeles has just reported the results of the 2019 NCVV Board election. Close to 300 voters participated in the election on May 16, and those who were elected will serve four year terms.
The city is finally moving forward to install parking restrictions for the full intersection of Laurel Canyon at Chandler Boulevard. Last summer area stakeholders helped collect the needed signatures to request overnight parking restrictions, which will move to alleviate the long term parking problems of RVs that have become a fixture at the intersection.
This project will require changes in traffic patterns on Whitsett in Valley Village for 16 months, from July 2019 until December 2020.
We collected over 200 pounds of batteries, several boxes of light bulbs and shredding over 5 tons of paper. The line of cars was steady from 8 am until noon, and the shredding company brought in a second truck at the very end to be sure that all of the collected paper was properly destroyed.
