The fourteenth annual Light Up Valley Village brought families and friends from across Valley Village together to celebrate the holiday season. Sponsored by Neighborhood Council Valley Village Board of Directors and Student Committee, the evening saw several hundred people joining with newly elected City Councilman Adrin Nazarian and Santa to ring in the 2024 holidays.
We are excited to bring you Light Up Valley Village again this year. Join us at the corner of Whitsett and Magnolia on December 14, 5-8pm.
NCVV's Board of Directors sponsored a free, two hour self defense class taught by 5th degree black belt Jean Morrison and her assistants Rowena and Kim. A dozen Valley Village stakeholders learned how to defend themselves by exploiting the vulnerable areas of an attacker, and how to think quickly in stressful situations.
Sign up now for a free self defense class November 17 and learn techniques you will remember even if you panic.
NCVV hosted our 3rd Coffee With A Cop event this year, bringing neighbors out to the Valley Village Farmer's Market and Pumpkin Patch to meet Officers Rob and Sean, and pick up fresh produce and pumpkins to carve for Halloween. Be sure to stop by 5000 Colfax Avenue this weekend for great prices on lots of different sizes and shapes of pumpkins.
Enjoy Coffee with a Cop and meet your neighbors Saturday, October 19, 10am at the Valley Village Farmer's Market, Faith Presbyterian Church
These office hours are an opportunity to meet one-on-one with planning staff in order to have more in-depth discussions of topics relevant to the SEVCPU and are a great opportunity for stakeholders to ask questions regarding the recently released Draft GLPU Designations.
Valley Village park hosted close to 400 neighbors, elected officials, LAPD cadets, NCVV Board members and volunteers, along with representatives of city departments, Target North Hollywood and the North Hollywood Interfaith Food Pantry to celebrate the 40th annual National Night Out.
Save the date: August 6 and join your neighbors for the Glo Stick Walk and more!
