August 14, 2021: This morning’s Coffee With A Cop event was a great success, with close to 50 stakeholders, officers and city officials talking for 90 minutes about policing in Valley Village and other issues as well. Co-sponsored by NCVV, VVRA and Gelson’s, this outdoor meeting was our first “in person” event in 18 months, and great care was taken to provide masks, hand sanitizer and individually packaged pastries with coffee and iced tea.
Thank you to Carol Convey for setting up such a great spread and organizing volunteers to help, to Suzanne Lewis for helping us secure our elected officials to speak and helping to get the event posted online and on social media, and to Desmond, Paulette, Ginny and Daryl for being there to help staff the event. I also want to thank Dorothy Apple for helping us get the officers and the mobile unit to join us.
It really was good to have an opportunity to meet with our neighbors in person – thanks to everyone who helped make this happen!
