Neighborhood Council Valley Village announced a board vacancy at its January 22nd meeting for the At-Large B community interest seat, which was formerly held by long-time member, Dale Liebowitz-Neglia. This announcement kicked off the official candidate filing period. Interested stakeholders submitted candidate filing forms by Wednesday, February 19th and were required to be 18 years of age and a stakeholder in Valley Village.

The election will be held on February 26, from 6:30 to 7:30pm. You are invited to review the Candidate Statements in preparation for voting.

Board responsibilities include: attending monthly board meetings, serving on one or more council committees, participating in NCVV sponsored outreach events, completing mandated city trainings, and demonstrating a willingness to make a difference in our community.

NCVV was certified by the City of Los Angeles in 2002 and held its first board meeting in October 2003. This all-volunteer Board has worked hard to champion the interests of Valley Village, engaging stakeholders with community based events, Town Hall meetings, beautification projects and educating stakeholders on issues important to our community. We hope you will think about joining us by becoming a candidate, and help us keep Valley Village as “a great place to call home.”
