The COVID pandemic could not stop Neighborhood Council Valley Village stakeholders from joining together virtually this year to celebrate our 10th annual Light Up Valley Village event.
To protect the health of all who came together on December 16, the event was held online. The Zoom call had over 200 registrations, representing hundreds more viewers who were able to kick off the season with original talent from Valley Village neighbors. The event was the brainchild of Luke Simon, a member of our student Board. Produced by NCVV’s student committee and hosted by Village Arts’ Pam Moser, viewers were treated to music, dancing, comedy, an original reading by Jamie McShane, and of course a visit from Santa himself.
“It means a great deal to our community that we were able to keep this tradition alive in 2020” said Tony Braswell, President of NCVV. “Our hope is that this evening brought a bit of holiday spirit to our Valley Village neighbors.”
