NCVV’s Board of Directors has expressed concern to the City about recent increased parking of occupied Recreational Vehicles on streets in Valley Village and neighboring communities. The proliferation of RVs being used as primary homes is permitted on designated streets, under LA Municipal Code 85.02 – The Vehicle Dwelling Ordinance.
Both the Board and NCVV’s City Services Committee have been involved in discussions about this issue, and have submitted a request to the office of Councilman Paul Krekorian to re-visit the map that designates where these vehicles may park. The Board has specifically asked that no overnight parking be allowed on any residential street in Valley Village. Other requests to limit areas designated for daytime only parking have also been submitted.
The Board will review the Vehicle Dwelling Ordinance at the April 25 meeting.
