Representatives from the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power met with NCVV’s Board of Directors at their February meeting to provide an update on the work to replace the City Trunk Line South that runs beneath Whitsett from Studio City north to Panorama City. The construction was to be completed in 2021 but has been delayed due to a construction project on Whitsett that was not approved when the original Trunk Line design was approved. This apartment building construction caused DWP to redesign the pipe mid project to ensure safe installation and operation.
Project Manager Eric Kim shared a presentation (DWP Presentation) and stated that work within Valley Village should be completed by June 2022, and all work on Section 3 which extends north into Valley Glen will be completed by late this year.
