Neighborhood Council Valley Village Elections and Bylaws Committee hosted a special election on February 26 to fill the Board’s At-Large B seat. Well over 100 voters chose among three well qualified candidates, electing John Thyne as the newest member of the Board. John, a Valley Village resident, is the owner of Angelino Crossfit and was a long time executive with the Pepsi Cola Company. He has been very active in community organizations including the Jaycees and other groups working with youth.
“We’re very excited to have John join our Board” said Ginny Hatfield, Board Vice President and Chair of the election. John was sworn in immediately by Betty Wong Oyama, Regional Director of EmpowerLA.
