LAUSD Responds to Community Requests
Last week a packed auditorium of Colfax Charter School parents, students and neighbors spent over three hours expressing concerns to school and LAUSD leadership and the project contractor about the recent start of campus renovation and construction.
Tree Removal at Colfax School
NCVV’s Board of Directors has received numerous calls and emails regarding the removal of trees this weekend on the campus of Colfax School. The tree removal is part of the master plan to upgrade the campus and build out new space. We do not, however, recall any mention of tree removal of this magnitude. Updating Neighborhood Watch Signs in Valley Village
NCVV’s City Services Committee purchased 50 new Neighborhood Watch signs that are now being installed around Valley Village. Board member Dorothy Apple and long-time volunteer Steve Simon are working methodically on weekends to put the signs up at major entry points around the neighborhood.

Valley Village Celebrates National Night Out
On Tuesday night, August 7 communities across Los Angeles celebrated the 35th anniversary of National Night Out. Valley Village was pleased to have Councilmember Krekorian and Assemblymember Nazarian join us for the festivities.
