RV Parking Concerns in Valley Village

The Board of Directors has been working diligently with residential and business stakeholders in the area and will soon be requesting parking restrictions that will limit parking on all four sides of the intersection to 2 hours or less.

Soundwall Update at NCVV Board Meeting May 16

The meeting will include an update on the soundwall construction along 170 freeway, which is slated to begin early this summer. Also on the agenda are updates on the proposed short-term rental ordinance as well as the request for parking restrictions at the intersection of Laurel Canyon and Chandler.

Valley Village Celebrates Earth Day 2018

We collected thousands of pounds of used batteries and light bulbs; gave away 50 trees; shredded 40 large bins of paper; and donated a truckload of groceries to the North Hollywood Interfaith Food Pantry at Neighborhood Council Valley Village’s Earth Day Celebration on Saturday April 21st.

State Sponsored “Upzoning” Housing Bill Defeated

SB 827, a bill sponsored by San Francisco Senator Scott Wiener that would remove all local input for residential planning, was defeated in a Senate committee. Neighborhood Council Valley Village Board of Directors joined the Valley Village Homeowners Association in unanimous opposition to the bill.

Magnolia Blvd Repaving Set for April 14, 15

After years of requests from business, residents and the NCVV Board, Magnolia Boulevard from Laurel Canyon to Whitsett Avenue will finally be resurfaced. The entire stretch will be completed this weekend, April 14 and 15. This will limit vehicle access to the Valley Village Post Office, so if you’re planning to send in your tax return before Sunday be sure to plan accordingly.
