On a hot early September morning, a contingent of avid bike riders, and proud city officials joined Councilmember Krekorian for a ribbon cutting marking the official launch of the LA Riverfront Pedestrian/Bike Path.
The path, which runs between Whitsett and Coldwater Canyon avenues, is part of Councilmember Krekorian’s ongoing effort to improve the LA River as a recreational asset in Studio City. That work includes funding LA River revitalization efforts and planting native trees across the river and up the way between Whitsett and Coldwater Canyon.
Recently, the Metro Bike Share program was launched in the San Fernando Valley. The opening of the bike path offers another opportunity to take advantage of the Metro “Smart” Bikes and explore Studio City.
The new walking and bike path features newly installed lighting, handrails and ramps for improved accessibility, and much more for East San Fernando Valley residents. With its close proximity to Valley Village, this path is a great way for our residents to enjoy the great outdoors and get some exercise.
